hi, i’m dr. rebecca caldwell.

I’m a licensed psychologist in the state of Colorado with a passion for helping my patients improve their emotional and physical health. There are excellent, effective alternatives to medication that are suitable for many people. As an avid health and fitness enthusiast, I’m delighted to present these treatments to the Denver metro community.

Credentials:

B.A. Psychology, University of Houston, with high honors

M.A. Clinical Psychology, University of Houston Clear Lake

Ph.D Counseling Psychology, Texas A&M University

Licensed Psychologist in Colorado #2775

I believe that by nudging physical health in the right direction we can often improve emotional health, and vice versa. I use a variety of techniques, and favor imagery, mental rehearsal, self-compassion, mindfulness, and attachment-oriented therapies. I’m drawn to neuroscience and innovative technologies. I completed University of Pennsylvania’s program in CBT-i.

I’m a long-term meditator, having done a mélange of contemplative practice, chi gong, and imagery. Compassion practices are of enduring interest to me.

I’ve been a licensed psychologist since 1995. I have a background in community mental health, education, private practice, and educational and psychological evaluation. During my childhood, my mother was diagnosed with cancer and my sister had two brain hemorrhages, giving rise to my lifelong interest in the health of the mind and body. I have spent many years as a caretaker of family members suffering from chronic illness. I believe our early attachment experiences have a profound effect on our future development, and completed my dissertation research on the influence of attachment on emotional health in adulthood.

I’m a classically-trained pianist and love music of all sorts. I’m an unrepentant junkie of all things design. Other things I love: artistic expression, including dance, photography, writing, and storytelling; travel; fitness, including Pilates, yoga, and hiking; Colorado and the mountains; and most of all, spending time with my family and friends.

now, how about you … ?

let’s help you feel better.
